Vacation Care Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Vacation Program released to parents? 

The program is emailed to parents in week 7 of the term prior to the school holidays. Booking period begins week 7 of the school term until week 9. If you wish to receive a program, download out Vacation Care brochure on our website here.

Who can come to Vacation Care at EBASCC?

Any child in Kindergarten to Year 6 from any school. Enrolment is based on a first come, first served basis. Please enrol early as spaces fill quickly. 

 

How do I pay for Vacation Care? 

Vacation care fees are calculated, deducting any Child Care Subsidy (CCS) that you receive. Fees are expected in full at booking. Any before or after school care fees that are due from the school term are included in your invoice. EBASCC accepts EFTPOS, credit card or direct internet transfer. EBASCC does not accept cash.

Can I receive Child Care Subsidy (CCS) for utilising EBASCC Vacation care? 

Yes. You need to contact Centrelink to set up your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and provide your CRN to during the enrolment at myFamily Lounge. The credit you receive from CCS will be automatically deducted from your invoice.

How come I do not receive any CCS? 

If your child only attends vacation care and has not attended EBASCC within 8 weeks your CSS will be ceased. To reapply for CSS, log in through myGov and accept the enrolment from EBASCC again.

Until it is approved, full payment is required to book in for Vacation care. Should there be a credit after Vacation Care has finished, we can refund you or keep it as a credit for next Vacation Care.

 

Please note it could take a several weeks for the CCS to be approved.

What is the price of Vacation Care? 

Please refer to our latest Vacation Care enrolment form, as the prices differ depending on the activities on that day.

Which activities and excursions are included in the program? 

The program is tailored to the current interests of the children. Every holidays has a different program. Please contact us or download our Vacation Care brochure from our website for a program to see the detailed activities, crafts and arts and excursions included for each day.

Are excursions optional? 

Excursions are not optional. If you book your child in on an excursion day, the child must attend the excursion. Also, all children attending the excursion must wear a yellow t-shirt. Yellow t-shirts are available for purchase at EBASCC for $4 prior to the excursion or on the day.

My child is in Year ___ can he/she attend  the other vacation care program at that day?

Unfortunately due to our numbers, it is not possible to alter arrangements for your child's year group activities, as everything is done electronically.

What time does the bus leave on excursion days? 

All children need to be at the centre on excursion days by 8:30 am. The private bus leaves at 9:00am sharp.

Pick-up and drop-off routines for Vacation Care? 

Every child must be signed in by a parent or caregiver on the iPad as we now use electronic sign in services. Every child must also be signed out by a parent or caregiver on the iPad. This is a requirement by law.

What food is provided for the children at Vacation Care? 

Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea are provided everyday. You need to pack recess. Breakfast is served until 8:30am.  The lunch menu is included on the Vacation Care Program. If your child does not like the planned menu or has a large appetite, pack an alternative lunch. We provide for all special dietary needs that are communicated on the enrolment form.

Can I casually book in for Vacation Care?

No, due to limited staffing casual bookings are not possible.
